I wondered how many OCs have lift problems. We had people trapped in our lift for 45 minutes over the weekend – they felt quite faint and had to sit on the floor. Building has been occupied for four years and lift is regularly serviced (by one of the large elevator companies). Police, fire and ambulance came to rescue them.

This is not the first time people have been trapped.

    Is this a common problem?

Any recommendations for good lift service provider if I am allowed to ask this question?

    Thank you

I would put money on you being locked into a long-term lift maintenance contract with the lift’s manufacturer. If that’s the case, you need to put pressure on them to fulfil the terms of their contract before you go looking for anyone else.
