Members of strata committees concerned about defects or maintenance, or owners aspiring to join their committees, or even ordinary owners just hoping to keep their committees honest, should keep a couple of hours free this Saturday morning for the Owners Corporation Network’s quarterly meeting.
The two-hour session will feature discussions about defects, repairs and maintenance, based on practical examples from a strata committee perspective.
Topics will include defect rectification during the warranty period, major scheduled maintenance of building fabric and façade and replacement of flammable cladding.
Case study examples will be used to discuss the roles of strata committees, managers and contractors in planning, budgeting and delivering the desired outcomes on time and budget.
Speakers will offer the latest advice on supplier sourcing, managing impact on residents during major repairs and funding options.
The meeting is on Saturday, September 21 from 10.00am to 12.00pm at The Station’, Jacksons Landing, 58 Bowman Street, Pyrmont, Sydney.
The meeting is free to OCN members while non-members just need to pay the $55 (incl GST) joining fee to attain membership and attend this and the other quarterly member events.
