an owner has proposed a special by-law at the forthcoming AGM, to allow the retrospective approval of existing internal plantation shutters.
The shutters have been in place for several years in nearly half the units.
The question is are plantation shutters installed in lieu of ” internal blinds and curtains” allowed under the provisions of Section 109 (2) (g).
There is a range of internal window covers including vertical louvres, curtains and holland type blinds as well as the internal plantation shutters which are of a uniform type and fairly neutral colour.
Most of the plantation shutters are at the rear or side of the building.
