At the Strata Meeting at which I was not in attendance today, due to illness, my tenants in a block of 6 were accused of having a steam of strangers coming and going into the Unit. Saying that they are renting out the Unit 2nd bedroom – short term to all in sundry. Saying its not pleasant to have all these strangers who we don’t know passing our units (2 to a floor)

What are their rights in having people stay.  The lessor is a top chef and occasionally (he has told me) that he has country students stay with him and his wife for the few day they are on work experience in Sydney.

Provided they aren’t over-crowding, or breaching the terms of their lease, they can have as many people as they want, staying as often as they want, when they are there.  However, if they are actually letting the unit on Airbnb, then you need to look at your by-laws.
