Strata happiness votes are all about the holidays

We suspected we might be setting ourselves up for a bit of a let-down when we asked people to vote on what they LIKE about strata living, rather than things that give them the irrits.

But then, negative emotions are much easier to access than positive ones; niggles are closer to the surface than nice feelings.

About half the usual votes rolled in but even so, there were some clear patterns including that the aspect of apartment living that most people favour is the ability to lock up and leave for a holiday, without worrying about what’s happening to your home while your away.

Proximity to transport, work and shops rated highly, as did not having to do maintenance work or gardening, as well as access to secure parking.

Disappointingly for strata Pollyannas like us, a sense of community barely scraped into the top five

You can see the full results HERE but the holiday aspect is highly appropriate because we are getting right back into our travel website, mildrover.com

We’re adding new stuff, especially luxury travel deals and cruises, and clearing out some of the old post covid material.

Check it out and keep an eye on it over the next couple of weeks.  There are bargains to be had if you keep a weather eye open (and we don’t get paid a cent for bringing them to your attention.)

Meanwhile our latest poll on what it would take to get you to drag yourself along to a general meeting or AGM of your strata scheme is live HERE.

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
