      Has anyone experience of using one? Reliability/Wait time/Abuse/Costs/Expected lifetime/Practicalities/Management.

        I have no personal experience, but there are quite a few online discussions around the problems when they break down.  Here’s a tale of misery that would make me avoid any premises that uses parking stackers like the plague:

          After watching the video …. all I can say is that it seems to take a long time to load the car, and the loading mechanism takes up a lot of space when it is loading.  I wouldn’t want to be another owner who is waiting in my car trying to get past all of this to either exit or enter the car park.

            These are becoming a very popular parking solution and there are many in Sydney Darlinghurst area. The systems are only getting better, however they are not (were not) properly covered in the BCA/NCC. I believe this is being (has been) rectified due to the extreme fire risk they can pose if the right fire protection is not installed. I can list a few buildings that have huge ones that take 20-30 cars.
