      Dubai can be a great place to break a journey home from Europe, but this article suggests that investment in at least some strata schemes (e g the artificial sand islands that have changed the view of the Gulf from outer space) is not for the faint-hearted — even if they are expats on brilliant ‘packages’.  In effect, it appears that the developer and the ongoing building/strata manager (who seems to be an integral and ongoing part of the package) are both part of ‘Dubai Inc’.
