If some of the resident landlords in my apartment block had their way, there would be no such thing as tenants. It would appear this sustained, particularly vigorous and unpleasant campaign directed at current tenants, absent landlords with tenanted apartments, their leasing agents and even now the strata manager has been going on for years.
The small group of individuals responsible seem oblivious to the inappropriate nature of their own behaviour. At times this verges on harassment and bullying. While their complaints and accusations are incessant, they are also frequently unsubstantiated. Unwilling to adhere to process when raising concerns and making complaints, they prefer to take matters into their own hands. This in itself makes it hard for an executive committee or indeed strata manager to act.
No wonder landlords in this block find it hard to keep tenants. No wonder tenants find it so hard to be left in peace to enjoy their own personal space and choose to move on.
What recourse if any, do tenants and other landlords have against such people?

The Owner/landlords have recourse to their Owners Corporation and Strata Manager (who works for all Owners), and Tenants (in NSW) have recourse to Tenants NSW.
