Topic: Dashed line on rear wall of townhouses plan

We live in a row of townhouses built around 1969-1970. On the strata plan, the rear wall of the building facing the courtyard is not a solid line like the rest of the building, including the dividing and boundary fences. Our managing agent wonders if it defines the rear wall as not being common property. Is there another explanation?

Unit1 – There are several different types of dashed lines and they all mean something different.

Here is a document from SA that explains what some of them mean – see 7.16. It may (or may not) be relevant to your plans in your State.

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services.
