Do we have to pay lawyers for a by-law different from the one we requested?

      Hope you can help. Can lawyers quote on creating a bylaw as per body corporate/strata manager’s instruction and when successful write a completely different bylaw and say that although they quoted on what was requested they couldn’t do it.  They did this without informing Body Corporate of what they were doing and will be expecting payment for what has been done, because it is a five page bylaw rather than a paragraph or two.  Please let us know what we need to do or who we need to speak to.  Thanks in advance.

    PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum.
