Financial hardship

      I posted on here a while back about rectification works we needed to do to our building and the likelihood of being able to sue the developer for costs… needless to say we are paying for it ourselves.

      After many, many months we have finally had every unit looked at, had three quotes prepared, awarded the tender and issued the special levy.

      Unfortunately one of the owners has come back requesting not to pay the levy due to financial hardship.

      How do we deal with this?

      We obviously don't want to be the cause of someone losing their home over a special levy commitment, but nor can we let other homeowners bear the burden of someone who hasn't put money aside knowing this was going to come up from as long ago as three years…

    PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
