I have read quite a few times in Flat Chat recently and in the press, Mr Thompson, lately a much more moderate moderator, and lawyers particularly a Mr Teys and Mr Grace, arguing for more 'flexibility' in the NSW Strata Titles Act revisions as well as by-laws.

For example '… there is a lot of flexibility in strata living, it just doesn't seem to have reached your building yet…' Mr T said something like this in a current post about cat mesh, if I remember correctly.

I know why lawyers might be suggesting 'more flexibility': more disputes, more court cases, more fees for them etc., but Jimmy, why are you deserting us?

We haven't achieved strata Utopia where I live just yet and more flexibility won't solve our problems. More stringent and enforceable rules and by-laws might.

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
