Is it normal to be hearing footsteps from apartment above? Moved into a new building with concrete slabs in 2016 & have had problems from day 1. Developer catch phrase “its compliant” is all we have ever got. Have previous lived in an adjacent building without ever hearing any noise transmission from above. We tried addressing as a defect without success. Now the tenants – yes the tenants, have moved out & operate as a Airbnb so the noise from parties & multiple occupants driving us mad. Overseas owner sheltered by an uncaring agent who brushes off all complaints. Strata & building management  sympathetic but failing to take any action or offer any help. Where do we go from here?

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
