I am an owner of a townhouse in a block of two which was under self management but became strata managed to resolve a common boundary fence issue. The SM resolved this problem thro legal action and I was hoping to return to self management but this wasn’t possible. Due to an altercation with the owners of the other townhouse and insufficient levies the SM received a successful full management order from a tribunal hearing resulting in special levies and a high increase in strata levies. The strata quarterly levy has increased from $400 to $850 and due to the tribunal hearing neither owner is able to attend the AGM or complain about the high increase. As my townhouse is only valued at approx. $300,000 & I am on the disability pension is there any course of action that would be worthwhile. Also removing strata management appears hopeless when the other owners will not agree to it.

      Many thanks for any help.

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
