Is there anything in strata law to cover gas BBQ”s and gas heaters? I know the subject of smoke comes up but i haven’t seen anything dealing with gas explosions and fire.

Would we be covered by the Owners Corp. insurance policy for damage, injury, or death caused by an explosion of the gas bottle?

Some EC members feel that having these gas heaters, like those used in restaurants, is a breach of By-Law 17-change the appearance of a lot.

One resident had one on 2 different balconies, one of which was never used.

They have been there for about 2 years.  I suppose Owners wouldn’t mind if someone wanted to use it for a party for a day or two but 2 years seems to be a bit long.

These are 2 questions, one being the insurance and the other being possible breach of a by-law
