Our Strata Manager recently told the Exec Committee(EC) that the grouting between tiles on our unit &  townhouse balconies & decks is owner responsiblity as not Common Property.  The tiles on these areas are all original terracotta tiles laid when property built 20 yrs ago – he did not give a view on whether the tiles are also common property.  Grouting is now starting to deteriorate and if it is owner responsibility then we need to alert all 25 owners as soon as possible.

Has anyone else heard of this interpretation of balcony tiles as to date our EC members say they don't think this is correct and the Owners Corp should be responsible?

    Thanks in anticipation Smile

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
