How would you like your apartment to be the star of a TV show?

No, we’re not sending a bunch of Blockheads around to renovate – the second series of the ABC-TV comedy The Letdown is looking for an apartment, three inner city houses and a doctor’s consulting rooms in which to shoot the next series.

The producers would be looking to use a prospective location for two to five days in the six-week period between October 29 and December 8, involving some set dressing (substituting furniture etc) and two to three days filming. They will negotiate a location fee and some relocation costs.

In case you’re not familiar with the show, and worried it might be a remake of The Young Ones, The Letdown is a fairly gentle comedy about a struggling new mum, Audrey, and the local Mothers Group she thinks she doesn’t need.

Audrey is determined not to be defined by motherhood. In theory, this seems fairly easy. In practice, her career-focused husband, self-obsessed mother and fancy-free best friend, make it damn near impossible.

Series Two will continue to explore the highs and lows of parenting. Picking up the experience one year in, when life with a baby has become the new normal.

Why would you let them film in your home?  Imagine being able to put “as seen on TV” in your rental or sales ads.
