I am an owner in a relatively new strata scheme (3 years old) .
At the first AGM ( which I did not attend as I bought after that) the Strata Manager and Building Manager appointed by the developer were appointed .The strata manager was appointed for 2 years and has since been re appointed.
The building manager was appointed for 3 years.
Given the building manager has a critical role in the identification of building defects, why doesn’t the legislation limit the initial appointment to say 6 months or 12 months?

I believe there is legislation going through parliament to limit building manager contracts to three years (rather than 10). Your scheme is ahead of the game.

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum.
