      Hi All,

Our Strata Committee missed an AGM 2 years ago. When I asked The Strata Mgr why? She responded with ” we decided not to have one ”  and also stated that the levies were not changing. Now, according to Section 18 of SSMA 2015 it says an AGM must be held. My partner and I have recently sought some advice from another Strata mgr about this and he said there is a special clause that states if the EC decide not to have one then the Strata Mgr cannot be held in contravention of section 18. I cannot find this so called clause. We noticed the missing AGM because I was trying to get on the EC that year so I could further investigate some questionable decisions made by Strata. Can any one please clarify?

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
