    Hi all,

I have a problem with the power in the laundry.

Am wondering if any one knows if there is an act or piece of legislation stating that if there is power from only one unit then the laundry is private and belongs to that unit.

    “Full Story”

I moved in October, was told that it was a shared laundry.

Just after new years found out by accident that the power was supplied by my unit not common power. I bought it up with agency and it took them 2 weeks to get back to me with the answer that it was actually a private laundry and that I was my responsibility to keep it locked, well that would be great but the landlord had given the other unit a key. So went back to them and pushed for it in writing that would mean that they had to change the lock to prevent access from the other units. But that ended with it now becoming a shared laundry again. We asked the unit next door to us to stop using our power they just plug in when I am out and do washing. I would turn off the breaker but one switch supplies the whole place.

Problem is the one guy owns all the units but has 2 agents managing and neither agents nor owner want to do anything about it.
