I am an owner of a holiday unit in a resort in Queensland.

The resort has a manager and we pay 12% (+GST) of gross rental as commission to the manager.

The resort has its own website (with online booking facility), but the manager also uses other online booking services such as booking.com, wotif.com etc.

Recently we started seeing the commissions of such booking services (12%) in addition to the managers commission (12%+GST) deducted from our gross rental when bookings came through such online booking services.

Therefore, when a booking comes through booking.com etc, we are paying approx. 25% commission on our rental.

    Is it a normal practice??
