Due to the failure of a plug-in (one of the mini programs that keep this website running) an increasing number of Flatchatters have been having trouble logging in and retrieving lost passwords.
In an effort to allieviate the problem, I have stripped the process back and installed the simple click box that you will see (in green) on the upper right of this webpage, or lower down if you are reading this on a phone.
To log in, click on that and it will take you to our log-in panel where you can log in with your username or email address and password.
If you haven’t registered before, click on “Register” and you will be offered a panel where you can put in a username (Please, not your real name or email address!) your email address and your choice of password. The panel will encourage you to use a long and complicated password but it’s up to you. Once you have registered you will go straight to the home page and from there you can click on Forum Topics, answer questions or post your own
If you have forgotten your password, click on the “forgotten password” line below the panel and it will take you to a panel where you can fill in your username or email address.
That will generate an email in which there will be a link back to a panel where you can insert a new password of your choosing (although a long and complicated one will be offered).
