Are pre-auction unit inspections a wise move?

      I’m considering buying my first apartment in Melbourne and was wondering if it is normal practice to get a building inspection like you would when purchasing a house?  I understand the need for a strata inspection report but was wondering about other things that might be wrong with the apartment – or is that likely to appear in the strata report? The apartment is existing i.e not off the plan. Thanks.

    PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum.
