Providing access for agent to do rental inspections

      I am a tenant, and the agent wants to do the six monthly inspection. Obviously, I have no objection to this, but the agent does not have a swipe card to get into the building (although she does have a key to the unit).

      She is demanding that I stay at home to let her in to do the inspection.

      What are my obligations regarding inspections? I don’t see why I should have to stay at home for this. The inspection I will insist upon being home for is the outgoing one, but this one has little relevance. 

      Any advice would be appreciated

    PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum.
