I am in Victoria.

The Strata Manager’s contract using the SCA (Vic) template gives lists ways in which a contract may be terminated without specifying a reason by giving 28 days notice.

We pay close to $3000 annually.

We sent the Letter of Termination on the 1st of the Month.

On the 4th of the Month we were told that as the Strata Manager had been terminated they no longer had authority to act on behalf of the owners Corporation.

Does this mean we must be refunded 1 month’s fee? Will this figure may come of the $500 that is paid for the handover of documents etc?

When I asked the question – 2 month’s fee will be refunded. So that’s good.

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum.
