My husband and I rented an apartment for 2 years. On the in going condition report it was noted that there was some damage on the wooden floor. This was not rectified before our tenancy. Over the 2 years the damage has got larger. The agent inspected the apartment and photographed the apartment on 4 – 5 occasions and never mentioned the slow creep of the damage.
They now want us to wear the cost of the repair. We believe that as it was a pre-existing condition that it was fair ware and tear during our tenancy.
We have been to mediation and it looks like we are now going to tribunal.
Can you please advise our rights
