I am wanting some advice on renting in the inner western suburbs of Sydney with a small 5 kg dog. I have read that most pet-friendly rentals are around the Mascot area, which would be perfect because I have a job offer at Sydney airport. When I select ‘pet-friendly’ on the realestate.com search function for Mascot and surrounding suburbs it brings up about 70 different properties, which seems quite a few. However, I am concerned about how many other people would also be applying for pet-friendly rentals and what the competition for the property is likely to be like. I would not want to find myself in a position where I was desperate to find somewhere to live and had to re-home my dog, and if this is a possible outcome then I will decline the job offer.

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
