We have an Extraordinary General Meeting next week at our block in Sydney. At the last Annual General Meeting in May, a unit owner raised an issue not on the agenda; he had submitted a request for aircon but the Strata Committee had not responded. A short discussion was had where the SC acknowledged they had not responded in a timely way.

Now, in the AGM minutes attached to the agenda for next week’s EGM, there is a note at the top of Page 1 saying in ‘an extra resolution’ at the AGM, approval was granted for Unit 11’s aircon. Not only was this not on the agenda, it was not ‘resolved’.

How can I address this at the EGM when we’re asked to accept the AGM’s minutes. I think it needs to be pointed out as being wrong.

Reply To: Resolution made that wasn’t on the AGM agenda or even voted on.
PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
