Strata Committee dragging their heels to comply with orders

      Water is leaking into my home from the unit above.

      In October 2016 the SC lawyers advised “engage a consultant to investigate and to prepare a scope of works to rectify the damage to the lot”.  

      The SC did nothing.

      An application was lodged with Fair Trading.  The SC voted to not attend mediation.

      It went to NCAT who made orders January 24, 2017 “….to comply with its duties under s 62 of the SSMA 1966 to effect repairs to prevent water ingress into lot xx in the strata scheme”

      To this date no quotes have been called for.

      Water is still coming into my home and when it does I have to move my furniture into the middle of the room and roll up the carpet. I live in a very small unit so that gives me no living space

      If I go back to NCAT it could take months.

      What can I do?

    PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum.
