Im hoping someone here can shed some light on these issues for me please:

We own a ground floor unit and along the side of the property, along the fence, the trees have grown so high, some to the height of the 3 storey complex. We now no longer get any sunshine into our living room or bedroom and need to have the lights on almost all day.

Should trees be kept at fence height to avoid this very problem? My instinct tells me they should. Am i right?

I rang strata to ask what the procedure is with the maintenace of trees and they basically told me that if they are doing no harm they wont do anything.

I then put my request in writing and was advised to leave it with them and that they would get back to me as soon as possible. Thing is, they are very slow at getting back to me and getting anything done.

I put in another request 7 weeks ago re: the state of the common garedn patch directly in front of our unit and also about the rubbish of branches, etc that are thrown down the side of our unit. They replied in about a week, that they would get some one to look at this. NOTHING HAS YET BEEN DONE after 6 weeks they said ok.

All these strata issues are affecting the sale of my unit. Everyone that comes through loves the unit but complain about the rubbish i asked strata to clean 7 weeks ago and also about there being no sun light!

Where do i stand? Please can someone help!

PS: Is it acceptable that strata are taking so long to get things done?Frown
