The EC (I’m on the EC) wishes to upgrade our apartment block (125 residential units in Sydney).

Should the design brief, which the EC have come up with, be agreed upon by all owners before the brief is given to architects/designers?

I believe it should be, but knowing what the other EC members are like, I think they will be totally against this.  They have already come up with a design brief and want to send it to three designers without giving all owners a chance to give their input.

Frustratingly, most of the other EC members do not have all owners interest in mind!

I want to do the right thing by all owners.

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
