Upstairs neighbours unsympathetic

      We live in a duplex so there are only two apartments in the strata and the affairs are managed by us and the couple who live upstairs. After an extended absence, we have returned to living in our apartment and find that the noises we can hear from upstairs are stressing us out: footsteps, chairs scraping on the marble floors, doors slamming, the dumb waiter being used as early as 6.45am and as late as after 10pm and sounding like a jet taking off.
      We were told by these neighbours that we are “super-sensitive” when we complained about the dumb waiter noise.
      What do you suggest we do?

    PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum.
