Verandah Ceiling Repair

      The verandah ceiling of my new apartment needs to be repaired/painted due to water leaking through from above. An on site owner is the Body Corporate manager and he dislikes spending any money. He says that he has fixed the leak and will get someone over to repaint where the paint has peeled off. I want to make sure that the leak really is fixed and that the painter does a proper repair (as opposed to patch) job. What is the best way to go about this?
