Due to a error by our tenant we had water ingress into the common area from our private lot (apartment).
The subsequent bill to dry the carpets etc in the common area is nearly $5K.
As it was our fault; am I right in believing that we cannot claim either through our apartment contents insurance policy nor the owner corporation?
All of the guidance on line leads me to understand we just have to pay it and try to recover some costs from the tenant.
