      Hi Jimmy and the Gang,

I wonder if you can help? We had our 6-unit apartment block waterproofed earlier last year but since then – after particularly heavy rain last July – the two apartment's at the back of the block, one on top of the other, have experienced waterlogged ceilings (with dirty water), cracked ceilings, bubbling paintwork, damp, soggy carpets, water in the smoke detector setting off the fire alarm, etc, etc. Cry The waterproofer returned and “fixed” the problem, but it has only got worse. CryCry His work is still under warranty. Is the OC within its rights to not have the waterproofer back again to “fix” the ongoing problem and ask for our money back (over $21K) and employ a reputable waterproofer to fix the damage and do the job properly? What is the procedure here? Do we send the original waterproofer a time-line of roof leaking, and ask for a full refund? Or do we go straight to the Department of Fair Trading? Hope you can help. Thanks in anticipation. Here's to a dry winter! Cheers!

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
