A person hears loud music from an apartment all day but noone answers the door. The concerned citizen fears their neighbour inside has suffered some unfortunate event, so calls the police who arrive and destroy the door.

Turns out the neighbour's on a holiday and left their stereo on.

Who's responsible to pay for the new (and expensive) door: the lot owner, the person who asked the police to arrive and destroy the door (without executive committee notification or approval), or the owners corporation?

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
