Over the last year, I have been defamed, slandered, lied to and about to the owners in my building. This concerted campaign by a group of owners seems to have no end. They have ruined my reputation in emails, newsletters, phone calls, and in meetings.

This all began when I was approached by a newspaper who wanted to publish an article on the lack of action by the strata committee and breaches of the bylaws regarding common property in my building.

I now wish to engage a lawyer but don’t know where to start. I have little money as I am a pensioner. Any advice anyone?

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
