My wife and I have bought off the plan into a development in NSW which is due for settlement in May 2024. Given the amount of publicity and associated concern about shoddy apartment developments, we are wondering if there is any online information available to the public regarding building reports or inspections that have been carried out for this development. If so, could you please provide a link(s) to these? Thanks.

I approached the office of the NSW Building Commissioner and they supplied me with this link – https://www.fairtrading.nsw.go<wbr />v.au/help-centre/online-tools/<wbr />rab-act-orders-register A useful register of in-force prohibition orders, building work rectification orders, stop work orders, and enforceable undertakings for buildings with residential apartments.

Also, https://verify.licence.nsw.gov<wbr />.au/home/Trades – the more commonly known building licence register.

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum.
