      Hi,  my daughter rents a flat and, when moving in,  drew to the agents attention a significant crack in the porcelain bathroom sink.  She was told the owner would not repair it.

      Recently something fell out of the cupboard above the sink, onto the cracked area and a chunk of the sink is now broken. 

      Should my daughter be required to pay for the sink replacement or is this the owners responsibility?
