I understand that a door closer is required for fire safety reasons. I recently moved and the door closer attached to the inside of my front door broke and fell to the floor. I have tried to fix it but it appears it’s stuck and won’t work.

Whose responsible for paying for this item to be replaced and repaired?

The door closer is an Owners Corporation responsibility. Contact your building manager or strata manager.  Also, have a look HERE.

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
