Does anyone know of Owners Corporations (OC) that require a Working With Children Check for contract personnel that are routinely on site for a residential apartment building?

Eg Building manager, facilities manager, cleaners.

Was it a legal requirement or was it OC policy?

It’s not a legal requirement unless you are actually working with children

Incidental contact with them does not require a WWC.( otherwise every person would one just to walk down the street’

        Seems it’s a ( misguided OC policy)

Good luck finding contractors who carry such a certificate. They’ll find easier jobs.

PLEASE ... If your property is not in NSW, mention its location (state). Don't identify companies or individuals by name. Don't mention or promote your company or services. Keep acronyms and initials to a minimum. Please, don’t use “quote” unless there is a specific point to which you wish to refer, then highlight (define) that specific passage before you click on "quote". Otherwise just use reply. THANKS.
