I am taking the Landlord in my situation to NCAT on Monday, 30 September 2019. My saving grace is that the managing agent has told them that NCAT is a “Government Agency” and that they will represent them and they don’t need lawyers.
Managing agents are the inbetweeners where they have vested interest to protect their relationship with the Landlord – if your landlord is dumb enough to believe that the Managing Agent has power over NCAT then happy days you’ll have power there.
Push it at NCAT such that the Landlord needs to TURN up to answer. If they don’t it shows that they have zero respect for NCAT or the laws of Australia.
