I live in a 2 lot scheme in NSW. While we were between strata managers, a bill ($12,000) was presented by a contractor which would normally have been paid from strata funds to which each lot contributes equally. I paid the contractor $6,000 directly, the other lot did not pay anything.
Since then, the newly appointed strata manager has paid the remaining $6000 from the strata funds and proposes recompensing me. I have 2 questions:
what sum should he recompense me?
how can he recompense me from the strata fund to the correct amount given that I have contributed 50% to that fund?
