We got a neighbour’s  tree which big branches overhang over  to our building ,  into the  common area. The overhang is about 4 meters lapproximately. The B.C refuses to trim the tree because it effects only just a few unit owners as they say and do not want to use money if only a very few get a benefit from the trimming . No sun penetration and blocks almost completely one of the units of any view.

If I owned my own  house I could have trim the branches and even give them back to the neighbour. Can anybody knows if the B.C have the right to refuse to trim the branches ,even they trim the tree couple of yeasr ago .
