Thanks for the answers,our Landlords insurance company tells me I can claim for any damage in the unit from the water leak.Anyway,I passed on all the info to our managing agent who was going to contact the strata,.We have had the ceiling repaired .Havent heard back from strata yet but hopefully they will do the right thing.
