I am fortunate that in our small Owners Corp there was only one lot behind on levies, but I have wondered what happens when people will not, or say they can not pay the ongoing levies, and any special levies.
In another post they had an elderly resident who “could not afford” the special levy.
When repairs/renovations are needed, especially with OH&S implications, can it get to a pile of crumbling rubble with no-one able to live in the place at all?
Every time I have checked out any vacant unfurnished properties for sale or rent, they have a stove and sometimes a dishwasher built in, but I have never seen one with a clothes dryer that is part of the property, even in places where there is no clothes drying space.
Dryers are not very expensive in comparison to other appliances so I suspect you either replace it or get it repaired at your cost or the owner's cost if you are renting.
Do the owners know?
I do not understand that you can be “transferred” by your boss, but you continue to work for someone who seems to be dishonest.
You have 4 children and a mortgage, but your boss probably will get rid of you anyway if a “developer” does not want you around.
