I have changed tack. I now hang a QB sheet on my portable clothes line across my doors in an effort to stop smoke, and cancer causing CHEMICALS from entering my apartment from the stinker next door. Has reduced some, but still a nuisance.
My apartment does not have any windows. I rely on refreshing air throughout my apartment. esp to reach main bedroom down a long hallway, through wide open balcony doors all day. My neighbour is a chain smoker, every 20 minutes her cig stink comes in, and I leap up to close the doors. Even with doors closed, the smoke odour comes in through the very small opening of the individual door partition edges.
I asked BC to tell her to smoke away from the wall that separates our apts. They passed it on to the Real Estate Manager. It lasted a few days. So I am fighting back with tit for tat, stink for stink, her cig stink and my Mortein fly spray in her direction.
So, how does my lack of windows support my right to fresh air by banning smokers near me. By the way, no apartment/housing should lack windows. esp in bedrooms.

Am I wrong to think there is a difference between fixtures/fitting which cannot be taken with you when one moves out; and movable contents are your furniture and personal use items purchased individually, and contained in cupboards and wardrobes that one takes to another residence? Therefore, are they all covered by Insurance? Also broken windows/balcony doors glass, are they covered by Building, or Personal insurance?
There was a fire in an apartment block in Melbourne a few years ago. The cladding has been replaced recently in the Neos building. Can you find out how much the cost of replacement cost was incurred by an apartment owner?
I live in an Apartment in Victoria. Some time ago I came home from shopping. stepped into the building when the cleaner said “did you step on the dog poo?” What? where?. She pointed to it, it was just inside the door, and I just missed it. I was aghast that some selfish owner did not pick up their dog dropping. Told the young cleaner to complain to the Body Corp. She said she would talk to her employer, who made her clean it up. So not fair. Also, what if a dog attacks another resident? Who does the resident sue? The dog owner if that dog owner cooperates and gives name and apartment Number, or the Body Corp?, or both?
I think the British Reporter got it right. They were warned not to travel at night down that road. They did anyway, because like the reporter said “he thinks it was a drug courier gone wrong, Someone new of it, and wanted control”. I think the blood was not from a gun shot but a stabbing as no bullet casing found or gunshot residue. Also the truck drivers who picked up Joanne said she was terrified and rightly so, and they had witnessed driving down to the area they saw a ‘jelly man’ which indicates to me a man was hijacked and being pushed and shoved by the two men with him, who may have taken him away and ergo no body found . Joanne would not be so silly as to confess to being a drug courier. No further investigation into her Sydney lover which was of concern, or of Murdoch’s partner in drug trafficking, who seemed to know a lot about Murdoch’s wrist ties, etc.
I would like my Body Corp0rate members to read this. We have this problem practically every week when someone moves out of the building. Body Corp members have complained to Strata Management. It appears not much can be done about it! This may help. How do I refer this article to my Body Corp? Ahem, I’m not au fait with technology.
When I showed interest in my apartment when up for sale, Sect 24 plus last B.C. meeting, plus paperwork re cadastrals etc, there were several redacted pages. I did not think of anything untoward. I sent them to my Lawyer as you do. There was no reaction from him regarding the omissions! Did he even look at the whole paperwork? Should he have asked questions? Coincidentally his son had lived in the same apartment block. His only concern was that the garage gate did no close.
This happened to me when staying at a friend’s place. She filled her machine so much with my clothing that the washing powder did not break down because there was not enough water in the machine. My clothes stank, could not wait to get home and wash them in enough water to break down the powder and wash, repeat, wash the clothing properly in plenty water.
