The issue at hand involves having a service carried out. It’s one of those things that’s nice to have but not essential. It’s not worth having NCAT involved. The strata plan is small and as you might appreciate, it’s probably best to ensure harmonious relations are maintained.
I can’t help thinking though that in instances such as this, where value judgements are being made, that a reluctance to ensure OC meeting decisions are implemented, will lead to a lack of trust and confidence in the committee and that owners will feel disenfranchised.
Whilst this particular issue is up for discussion at the next meeting, is there any value in imposing limits, restrictions, or conditions on a strata committee such that they are obliged to ensure decisions taken at a meeting are implemented (excepting unforeseen events), thus avoiding individual biases or preferences?
