Leaving your long-term home is one thing. Losing your pet would be another matter entirely.

When you think how long it took various state governments to change laws about pets in apartments and the ability for renters to have companion animals in their homes, it should come as no surprise that only now are we realising what a huge part pets played in people’s choice of homes.

Now it seems almost a third of downsizers are thinking of where their pets will be welcome – or not – according to this story.
