Harry Triguboff, the king of Australian high-rise apartment development and the country’s second-richest man has taken a $1m “haircut” on the sale of his two-storey Gold Coast penthouse apartment – selling it at auction for $11million, rather than the $12million asking price for which it had been listed for more than a year.

But don’t cry too hard for Harry.  The $2.6million he spent on the apartment in 1990 would be worth only $6.5m in todays Aussie dollars, so he’s done all right.

You can see the apartment and even the auction HERE … for now.  Some online outlets have taken the story down.  You can only wonder why.
